Connect Your Shopify Store to Merch Showroom

This guide walks you through connecting your Shopify store to Merch Showroom using a Shopify Custom App. This setup is completed entirely inside your Shopify store admin and your Merch Showroom Seller Portal.

Before You Start

• Access to your Shopify store admin
• Access to your Merch Showroom Seller Portal
• Ability to create custom apps inside Shopify

Step 1: Log into Your Shopify Store

1. Sign in to your Shopify store admin.
2. Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels.
3. Click Develop apps.

Step 2: Create a Custom App

1. Click Create an app.
2. Name the app (example: Merch Showroom Sync).
3. Click Create.

Step 3: Open App Configuration

Open the newly created app and go to the app configuration screen where URLs and API scopes are set.

Step 4: Copy URLs from Merch Showroom

1. Log into the Merch Showroom Seller Portal.
2. Go to Configuration → Seller Sync App Configuration.
3. Copy the App URL.

Step 5: Paste App URL in Shopify

1. Paste the App URL into both App URL and Preferences URL.
2. Uncheck Embed app in Shopify admin.
3. Do not change the Webhook API version.

Step 6: Add Redirect URLs

1. Copy the Other URL from the Seller Portal.
2. Paste both URLs into Redirect URLs.
3. Separate the URLs with a comma.

Step 7: Add Required API Permissions

Paste the following scopes into the Scopes field:

write_assigned_fulfillment_orders,read_assigned_fulfillment_orders,
read_fulfillments,write_fulfillments,
read_inventory,write_inventory,
read_locations,
read_orders,write_orders,
read_products,write_products,
read_markets_home,
read_customers,write_customers
  

Step 8: Save and Install

1. Save the app configuration in Shopify.
2. Copy the Client ID (API Key) and Secret.
3. Paste them into the Seller Portal as API Key and Secret Key.
4. Enter your Shopify store URL in the format of your-store-url.myshopify.com .
5. Click Save & Install.

Troubleshooting

• Confirm the app was created under Settings → Apps → Develop apps.
• Confirm all required scopes are saved.
• Return to the Seller Portal and click Save & Install again.
